Exam Payment Terms & Refund Policy

01   General
 

These Exam Payment Terms & Refund Policy apply to examination fees and related services provided by Unionville International Academy (UIA), including services for private candidates registering for external examinations.

By submitting payment, the candidate and/or payer acknowledges and agrees to the terms set out below.

02   Examination Fees

​

All examination fees must be paid in full by the payment deadline provided by UIA.

Fees may include, where applicable:

​

• Examination board registration and entry fees

• Centre administration and invigilation fees

• Late entry or amendment fees

• Access arrangement or special testing administration fees, where applicable

• Other examination-related charges communicated to the candidate before payment

​

Fees are normally charged in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.

​

03   Registration Confirmation

​

Payment alone does not constitute final confirmation of an examination entry.

​

An examination registration is considered confirmed only after UIA has received the required candidate information and documents, received the required payment, and successfully submitted or confirmed the candidate’s entry with the applicable examination board.

​

Candidates are responsible for reviewing their registration details and notifying UIA promptly of any errors.

​

04 Refunds and Cancellations

​

Refund requests must be submitted to UIA in writing.

​

Refund eligibility depends on the applicable examination board’s policies, deadlines, and whether the candidate’s entry has already been processed.

​

Once an examination board fee has been submitted or becomes non-refundable under the examination board’s rules, that portion of the fee cannot be refunded by UIA.

​

Any applicable administration, service, payment processing, or other fees already incurred may also be non-refundable.

05 Late Entries, Changes and Additional Fees

​

Late registrations, amendments, withdrawals, or changes to an examination entry may be subject to additional fees.

​

Any additional fees will be communicated to the candidate before the requested change is processed.

06 Candidate Responsibility

 

Candidates are responsible for providing accurate and complete information, reviewing their examination entries, providing required identification and documents, and following all examination rules and instructions.

Candidates must attend the examination at the specified date, time, and location. Failure to attend an examination does not automatically qualify for a refund.

07 Online Payments

​

Online payments may be processed through a third-party payment provider.

​

Payment is considered received only after the transaction has been successfully processed.

​

For security purposes, UIA will not request full credit or debit card details by email.

08 Examination Board Rules

​

External examinations are subject to the regulations, policies, schedules, and decisions of the applicable examination board.

​

These rules may affect registration, amendments, withdrawals, refunds, examination conduct, results, and other examination-related matters.
